We are fortunate to have a fantastic team spirit and we are all committed to caring for and ensuring the well being of all our children. Although we run a key person system, all our practitioners are 100% committed to looking after all the children.
Barbara Evans – Senior Proprietor (English, Polish, Italian &French speaker)
Barbara was one of the founder members of Barnhill and has been an active part of the playgroup ever since.
She has achieved a PPA diploma and is a qualified first aider.

Stephanie Speller – Manager and EYP (English & French speaker)
Stephanie has gained her EYP Professional Qualification and has worked at Playgroup since 2000.
Both her daughter and son went to Barnhill, as did Stephanie herself from 1974-1976!

Magdalena Strzala - Deputy Manager (Polish & English speaker)
Magda joined playgroup as a student as part of her NVQ level 2 & now has completed her level 3.
She is a qualified first aider.

Tamara Eldred - Senior Early Years Practitioner (English speaker)
Tamara has worked at Playgroup since 2007.

Fatima Al-Dawoodi - Senior Early Years Practitioner (Arabic, French & English Speaker)
Fatima joined Barnhill in 2008 as a student as part of her NVQ 2.

Elizabeth Reed - Senior Early Years Practitioner (English speaker)
Elizabeth joined playgroup as a student as part of her NVQ 2, which she passed in September 2012 and has completed her NVQ 3. She is also a qualified first aider.

Anca Torac - Early Years Practitioner (English & Romanian speaker)
Anca joined Playgroup in early 2017. She left to have her son in 2018 and then re-joined in 2022. She holds a level 3 NVQ in childcare, is a qualified Chemistry teacher and is a qualified First Aider.
