Having Fun

The Playgroup provides good quality educational equipment and play activities appropriate to 2-5 year olds.  
Our aim is to enable the children to enjoy developing to their full potential.
Enjoyable play is essential to children as it is the way in which they learn and develop.  We hope to provide activities which:

Stimulate the children’s creativity and imagination
Enrich their language development
Form the basis of mathematical understanding
Encourage the development of manipulative skills
Offer the chance to explore and enjoy natural materials e.g. clay
Develop muscular strength and co-ordination
Create habits of listening and concentration

The play sessions offer a variety of activities for the children, including:
CREATIVE PLAY – painting and sticking
MESSY PLAY - sand, water, play dough, clay, corn flour, cookery
CONSTRUCTIVE PLAY – Duplo, Poly M, bricks, Lego
IMAGINATIVE PLAY – home corner, cars, trains set, airport
EDUCATIONAL PLAY – puzzles, shapes, lotto
ACTIVITY PLAY – climbing frame, tunnels, bikes
We also provide books, stories, singing, dancing and musical instruments.

We encourage our parents and carers to participate in playgroup activities and experiences and would be very grateful if you could spend some time at the playgroup with your child.

Partnership with parents is a vital component to ensure the maximum benefit for all our children to reach their full potential.  ​
